Admissions marketing
真人线上娱乐 Division of Enrollment Management & 真人线上娱乐 Affairs, in partnership with three schools in the Division of Academic Affairs and the Office of Marketing & Communications in the Division of Advancement, received funding to build a robust and engaging marketing, communications and outreach infrastructure in support of strategic enrollment management goals.
Three staff positions were created to work on this project: associate director of technology and communications in the Admissions office, marketing and technical writer in the Admissions office, and video producer in Marketing & Communications. Important progress has included updating and modernizing all communication content for prospective students, including a Custom viewbook; providing training to the admissions recruitment staff so they can build and deploy communication campaigns for events and other recruitment activities; and creating two videos for use with prospective and admitted students – UW Bothell Distinction with Chancellor Esterberg and Welcome to UWB with ASUWB President. 真人线上娱乐 admissions marketing team has worked closely with staff in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences to develop marketing materials and solutions, which creates the foundation for replicating in other schools.
School of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences?four-year curriculum
真人线上娱乐 School of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences, in partnership with the Office of 真人线上娱乐 Academic Success and the Office of Connected Learning, received funding to develop a student-centered, four-year curriculum that streamlines majors, reduces barriers to entry, includes community engaged learning, and builds resilience and predictability as students move toward timely degree completion.
真人线上娱乐 funding has supported the development of larger cap courses offered in the first and second years, training and hiring of student peer facilitators, and faculty-staff retreats/workshops on the development of a four-year IAS curriculum. 真人线上娱乐 funding also enabled summer support and stipends to be provided to faculty working on this curriculum project.
School of Nursing & Health Studies
真人线上娱乐 School of Nursing & Health Studies received support for the launch of its new Master of Science in Community Health & Social Justice, as well as partnering with the School of Educational Studies to pilot a graduate marketing strategy.
真人线上娱乐 MS in Community Health & Social Justice program launched in autumn 2023. 真人线上娱乐s have provided program evaluation and feedback each quarter, which has been applied to the program. During academic year 2023-24, the Health Studies Curriculum Committee worked on outlining expectations for the cumulative capstone experience, developing information for students about engaging in Community-Engaged Learning and Research throughout the program, and creating a policy around applying Independent Research credits toward program elective requirements. 真人线上娱乐 committee also created engagement documents for prospective community partners to gather projects for the capstone course. 真人线上娱乐 MS program director led a team of faculty and staff to develop a mentorship program, which launched in winter 2024.
School of Educational Studies
真人线上娱乐 School of Educational Studies received funding to expand program offerings in the M.Ed. program, develop new academic breadth courses for elementary education students, and design support focused on recruitment and retention of future teachers of color. It also received funding to partner with the School of Nursing & Health Studies to pilot a graduate marketing strategy.
Key progress on this project has included completing the design work and curriculum process for the M.Ed. with Leadership Development for Educators (LEDE) concentration; hiring a 50% marketing position, in partnership with SNHS, and launching marketing and recruitment efforts for new M.Ed. concentrations; and assessing needs for BIPOC student supports.
Diversity Center peer mentorship program
真人线上娱乐 Diversity Center received funding to continue its piloted peer mentorship program that focuses on addressing the barriers of success for marginalized students by connecting them with students trained to offer support and structure as mentors.
真人线上娱乐 Peer Mentorship Program launched in autumn 2024, and the 2024-25 cohort includes three mentors and nine mentees. Through the program, mentors and mentees will cultivate valuable skills, including leadership, resource navigation, program development, success planning and academic strategies.
Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion fellows program
真人线上娱乐 Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion received funding to design a fellows program in alignment with ODEI’s three strategic priorities of capacity building for engaging in DEI work, organizational development and alignment of DEI, and creating a more sustainable ODEI.
Officially kicking off in autumn 2024, the Faculty Staff Fellows Program is a year-long opportunity to develop, implement and assess a project of praxis related to DEI efforts on the UW Bothell campus. 真人线上娱乐 current cohort consists of 16 UW Bothell faculty and staff representing diverse schools, teams and units.
Classroom technology upgrades
真人线上娱乐 Office of Information Technology, in partnership with the Division of Academic Affairs, received funding from the UW Bothell Investment Fund and the 真人线上娱乐 Technology Fund for technology upgrades to transform spaces into hybrid/hyflex classrooms that will enhance digital accessibility and improve the student experience.
IT engaged Vantage Technology Consulting in autumn 2023 to assist with evaluating infrastructure needs and to help develop a recommended strategy for classroom upgrades. Based on the recommendations from Vantage and in consultation with the Space Planning Group and the vice chancellor for Planning & Administration, six classrooms have been identified for upgrades, with the work beginning in FY 2025.
