Folio Philosophy Club at Pike Place Market hosted by Jason Frederick Lambacher

Starting in August 2024, Jason has hosted a philosophy book club event at Folio, a non-profit literary & cultural center located in the Pike Place Market in Seattle. 真人线上娱乐 group meets monthly to discuss philosophers examined in Eric Weiner’s 真人线上娱乐 Socrates Express. 真人线上娱乐 club combines primary source readings (selected by Jason) with the “life lessons” explored by Weiner in each chapter. So far, the group has discussed Marcus Aurelius and Socrates, and will soon move on to Rousseau, Simone Weil, Simone De Beauvoir, Gandhi, Nietzche, Sei Shonagon, Confucius, and more. 真人线上娱乐 age range of participants runs from 15 to 81, with most being in or near retirement. 真人线上娱乐 club helps book group members reflect on how philosophy and ideas help to illuminate life’s experiences in a community of intellectual explorers.
