Becca Price mentors and leads discussion on making the culture of science inclusive

Washington Prison History Project, a digital initiative codirected by IAS faculty member Dan Berger, has been in the news. Women of Color Healing Circle wins T-Mobile grant
IAS students Gloria Giselle Gonzalez-Zapata and Nura A. Abdi founded the Women of Color Healing Circle, a space where women of color can gather to begin healing, build community, and learn to be the revolutionaries of tomorrow. At UW Bothell’s annual Equity & Inclusion Conference, their project won the Create the Change contest, a $5,000 grant to support their continued efforts.

Yolanda Padilla and Janelle Silva honored at UW Latinx Faculty Recognition
IAS faculty members Yolanda Padilla and Janelle Silva have been selected for recognition at the 3rd Annual Latinx Faculty Recognition Event on May 2nd. This year, 33 Latinx faculty across the tri-campuses of the University of Washington were selected. Twenty-four of the honorees are from the UW Seattle campus, five honorees from UW Bothell, and four honorees from UW Tacoma.

Community Mural Project at Interfaith Solidarity Event
