Brandon Washington discusses philanthropy at UW Bothell

How has work in Advancement & External Relations changed since remote operations began at UW Bothell? Brandon Washington, manager of annual giving and philanthropy, answers a few questions from Maria Lamarca Anderson, director of communications. A graduate in Media & Communication Studies (’15), Washington worked in community engagement for several years before joining UW Bothell in January 2020, and his onboarding experience has been far from normal.

IAS faculty member and Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies Faculty Coordinator Julie Shayne wrote a blog piece for Ms. Magazine about the trauma the Trump campaign caused many feminists.
