Katherine Shaw has always appreciated comedy, and she has recently embraced the title "funny woman." In fact, humor was a much needed relief during her 4+ years working in community health care. "Targeted: Veiled Women Experience Significantly More Discrimination in the U.S." appears on the Religion in Public blog, and examines whether Muslims who wear the the hijab are more likely to experience mistreatment and perceive discrimination.
