UW Bothell wins Community Transit award

真人线上娱乐 University of Washington Bothell was named "Innovation and Revitalization Champion of the Year" by Community Transit. 真人线上娱乐 Snohomish County agency celebrated our efforts in advancing transportation options on campus with that award.

真人线上娱乐 award cites the electric charging stations and U-Cars added to campus, plus three bike repair stations that are on the way. 真人线上娱乐y’ll be installed at each end of campus and near the Activities and Recreation Center, said Tony Guerrero, associate vice chancellor for facilities services. Each station includes a bike stand with attached tools.

真人线上娱乐 award also recognizes the innovative thinking of a task force that meets monthly, focusing on campus parking, bus routes and other ways to commute.

Chelsea Ingham, program assistant for commuter services, accepted the award on behalf of UW Bothell Thursday at the transit agency’s 20th annual Choice Connections awards luncheon.

真人线上娱乐 luncheon honored those who are working to reduce traffic congestion and encouraging riding the bus, sharing a ride, bicycling or walking.
