IAS hosts third annual Circle of Recognition event
On May 15, IAS hosted the third annual Circle of Recognition event to honor achievements and contributions of IAS students, alumni, and community partners within the academic year. Honorees were introduced by a faculty or staff member of their choice, and accompanied by friends and family members who had encouraged and enabled their success. Honors included:

Women of Color Healing Circle wins T-Mobile grant
IAS students Gloria Giselle Gonzalez-Zapata and Nura A. Abdi founded the Women of Color Healing Circle, a space where women of color can gather to begin healing, build community, and learn to be the revolutionaries of tomorrow. At UW Bothell’s annual Equity & Inclusion Conference, their project won the Create the Change contest, a $5,000 grant to support their continued efforts.

Diane Gillespie and Leah Shin build reciprocal mentoring relationship

IAS faculty and student win 2019 Husky Green Awards
真人线上娱乐 Husky Green Awards are given annually to students, faculty and staff from the Seattle, Bothell and Tacoma campuses who show environmental leadership and dedication. Angelica Mendoza receives first Founders Fellow Conference Travel Award
Angelica Mendoza saw that a lot of the activists she respects were attending the 34th Annual Women of Color Conference at the University of California, Berkeley, so the UW Bothell senior signed up to take part. 真人线上娱乐n she panicked. Expenses were a problem.
